.NET Framework 1.1

I installed -- .NET Framework 1.1

After I rebooted I now have to login to get to the
desktop.

I went into -- Control Panel>Users Accounts>Change the
way users log on and off -- and unchecked the -- Use the
Welcome Screen -- box, yet I still have to log in.

Is there another way to turn off any log-ins?

Satterfield,

Turning Off the Welcome Screen does not mean Automatic logon. You'll still
see a Classic Logon prompt instead. Turn On the Welcome Screen (optional),
if you want the Fast User Switching functionality.

To automatically logon to a user account, read the note below:

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok. Uncheck
"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and
click Ok.

Common Mistakes to be avoided while using this method:
----------------------------------------------------------
For Windows XP Home, don't try to auto-login as Administrator. This is
because Windows XP Home Edition does not allow logging in as Administrator
from Normal mode. Once you uncheck the option "Users must enter a user name"
and click OK/Apply, Administrator account name will be displayed in the text
box. Type-in a different user name and password in order to auto-login to
that account.

Take care while entering the password. Typing an incorrect password makes XP
to freeze at startup (during authentication) due to incorrect password and
then displays the Welcome Screen after few seconds.

Turn off the .NET Framework that puts your icon on Welcome Screen on boot to
click on in order to get into Windows. This comes from installing .NET
Framework from Windows Updates or from installing Print Shop Deluxe 20 or
other programs that use it.

To turn off:

Go to Run and type in "control userpasswords2" without the quotes but with
the space. Take out check mark.
If you don't want a password, leave that blank.
Change the user from Administrator to the name that was on the Welcome
Screen.
If you don't, then when it boots you get a message about being restricted.
Apply.

Also Net Framework puts a check mark in for your screen saver to prompt for
password when resuming from the screen saver. To turn that off:

In Display Properties for Screen Saver, take check out for "On resume,
display Welcome Screen."

Also their is a check mark in Power Options for when your computer resumes
from standby to prompt for password.
To turn that off:

Go to Control Panel.
Go to Power Options.
Go to the Advanced Tab.
Under Options, take the check mark out.

using TweakUI, go to logon section and UNCHECK "show ASPNET on welcome
screen". reboot; it should now proceed directly into the one (and only
one) account (other than administrator) if it does not have a password.
