Need to remove the www

I've recently run into some problems with accessing front page to do updates
to my companies website. When I questioned the IT person who runs our web
she stated that they just moved to a server that didn't work well with
frontpage and that in order for me to get it open I needed to remove the www.
from the URL name. My question is is this correct and if so how do I go
about doing this?

What "kind" of server that doesn't work well with FrontPage??

To remove the www when you publish to or open the remote web, simply use
http://websitename.com without the www.

Test this first though by trying to open the site in your browser "without"
the www in the address.
If the site has "not" been listed in the Domain Name Servers both with and
without the www then the above will not work.
