publishing to www folder

I was told to publish my website into the www folder by my webmaster. I
opened the www folder (it was empty) in the remote web site view pane then
hit publish web site. All my pages, folders, and files loaded ouside of the
www folder. I do not believe that is loading into the www folder. Does anyone
know if this was suppose to happen??

Depends on how you are publishing
- FTP (a server w/o the FP SE)

- HTTP (a server w/ the FP SE)
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825528&Product=fp2003
(you do not use a folder name w/ http)
