Hi,

I have two win2k computers and one WinXP on the workgroup, when i try to
access the Win2k computers i need to give it a local user's password to be
able to see it's shares.
on the windows XP on the other hand, i dont' have this problem?
does anyone knows where can i change it so that users in workgroup can
access the win2k computers with no password?
Thanks

An easy way to set this up is this:

1) Note what username and password are used to log in to the WinXP machine.
2) Go to each Win2K machine, and add that user as a local user. (Right-click
My Computer-> Manage-> Local Users and Groups)

Now Windows will automagically log you in when you access a remote share.

The reason that XP doesn't request this is because of Simple File Sharing.
Access to resources are made using the Guest user account--even if it is
disabled.
