Need to copy/export public folder in MS Outlook

I have not been able move or export files in bulk from our public folders in
MS Outlook. Although one can do it from the inbox, Outlook refuses, giving me
a responds that one cannot copy from a lower level folder to a higher one.

My email account has been locked becuase I have exceeded my storage
allocation. But since I have a lot of important files in this folder, I need
to export them into an access database from the inbox.

Please give suggestions of how to copy or export my files from the public
folder. We use Outlook 2000 and 2003. Thanks

Copy the folder into a .pst file and export from there.

Hi,
We tried as suggested, and even gave owner's right to the "owner" of this
new .pst file. Although the folder was visible, the folder could not opened
or view its content in the new .pst.

We were however able to copy the folder elsewhere, but since we could not
see the content, the copying excercise was useless.

When our email server administrator tried to view the properties of this
public folder from the server, the following error message showed up:

"The object cannot be found in the directory. This may be due to
repplication has not been completed. Misc exchange directory IDNo. c1010aae"

The replication message indicates that the copy of the folder you're working with isn't completely filled with the contents of the master folder. You might want to ask about that in an Exchange group -- microsoft.public.exchange.admin -- since it looks increasingly like this might be an Exchange problem.

I'm very unclear now on exactly what you're done. First you said you wanted to export from a public folder, then you said you wanted to export from the Inbox to Access. You also didn't give the error message that you mentioned in your first message. You said you copied the folder "elsewhere" but didn't say where -- to a mailbox, a .pst file, etc.
