Need to activate but won't allow me to log onto Windows to log onto the Internet

Hello,

For some reason Windows XP Pro needs activating again. No idea why but now
I'm stuck in a loop. I want to activate windows via the Internet but I
cannot log into Windows to log onto the Internet. I'm using an ADSL modem
that needs needs me to run a shortcut to log onto the Internet but as
Windows activation won't allow me to log in I cannot load up the Internet
and thus cannot activate it.

How do I get around this, does anyone know why Windows would have just
decided to want re-activating?

Reactivation can result from too many hardware. In the Activation Wizard,
select activate over telephone.

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply. Too many hardware, do you mean I have too much
hardware? If so, then I'm in more confused, as I've not changed anything
with my hardware.

I've never had to phone before, when I installed XP I was able to log as, it
gave me 30 days but there is none of this now. There is an option to say
remind me later but it goes back to the logon screen every time. :-(
