Hi

If SP2 was installed on your PC when you purchased it, you will have to
obtain an XP SP1 CD, reformat the hard disk and then install SP1 instead of
SP2. Do you really want to do that? Isn't there an update for ProTools
that is compatible with SP2?

SP-1:

What are the issues your computer has now?
Post the details in a new thread and someone here will most likely be able
to help.
The Windows Update newsgroup may be best:

If the computer has problems with SP-2, you should contact the manufacturer
for resolution.
If they recommend not installing Critical Updates, you should find a
competent supplier.
You may just need updated drivers and/or BIOS.

Which version of ProTools? what is your exact setup?

According to their website (http://www.digidesign.com/ Support >
Compatibility ), Digidesign have been doing a lot of work to ensure XP SP2
is compatible with many of their ProTools products.
