Need some help !!!

Gavin

Here's the situation. I have a mixed XP and MAC OS X network, the problem I
am having is when the Macs are online browsing the internet the XP machines
cannot, when the XP machines browse the intenet the Macs cannot. I am
running both of these through a Windows 2003 server using RRAS. Anyone have
any reasons why this might be happening.

Thanks
Gavin...

Hi Gavin,

We need some info before we could suggest some solution what you are facing.
Can you please tell us:
1. Whether you have configured RRAS as a NAT or as a VPN server for the
below scenario.
2. Are the MAC and XP machines on the same subnet or different?
3. If the RRAS is configured as VPN, is it able to give out IP addresses
for all machines, for e.g, if you have m XP machines and n MAC machines, VPN
should be able to give m + n IP addresses

The RRAS server is configured as both a NAT and VPN server, yes the MAC's
and the XP machines are both on the same subnet, I have no problem receiving
addresses from the server when connecting through VPN and both the MAC's and
the XP machines receive addresses without any problems from the DHCP server.
I have the MAC's sharing resources on the 2003 Server and they do not have
any problems, the only ( and main issue) is that when the MAC's launch their
browsers it is dropping the XP machines access to the net and the same for
the MAC's when the XP machines launch their browsers... any info can really
help.

Thanks
Gavin...
