Chris

Sorry for the simplicity of this but I've completely hit a
wall!

I need real basic help setting up my home file/print share
network.

I have a:
1.) Win2000Prof host computer
2.) Win98 PC
3.) WinXP Laptop
4.) Mac OS X.3.4
5.) HP Printer (attached to Win2000Prof)
6.) Epson Printer (attached to Mac)
7.) SpeedStream 5100 SBC modem
8.) Netgear Wireless Router MR814v2
9.) Tivo Series 2 with PS2 Network connection

All computers can connect to the internet just fine.
And I have attempted to setup my home file/print sharing
Network but I just CAN'T DO IT!

Is anyone available to help me out?

Thanks,

Chris

How do you connect to the internet? Do you have static Ips
or dynamic? if static, please describe.
If all are "sharing" the same bandwidth i suggest you make
your win2k box a server for internet.
A network is never a network with all ips with different
class, all gateways different and different subnets.
networking becomes a lot more easier if IPs and subnets
are well designed and static. Even if you somehow manage
to share files/printers it wont be reliable and would give
you all sorts of errors.
