Trying to set up a home network

Hi, I've been trying to set up a home network with the 3 computers in
my household. I tried searching the internet for guides that could
help, but could not find any.

I'm trying to mostly share files between computers and quite possibly
share printers. I have1 desktop and 2 laptops that I would like to be
in a network that share files. The desktop is connected to a wireless
router (Netgear WGR614) and the 2 laptops connect to the internet
wirelessly. Do I need to buy a print sever to share the printer?
