On Windows mail, I cannot figure out how to password the account. It opens
with the mail in the background, and then asks for passwords to the email
accounts. You can very easily just close the password box and access the
emails. Everything I have seen points to just locking the computer on my
user...but I don't want to have to do that. I just want it to be password
protected like on Outlook Express. Thanks!

The only way to do that is to password protect your Windows User account.

The OE password was for Identity access. Windows Mail does not
have the Identities feature. Besides, that OE password did not
provide real security in that it was easily bypassed.

Most Windows programs don't have passwords to control access.
That's what your Windows user login is for.
