Need Panda Titanium 2.04 or 2.05

Bil

I need a copy of Panda Antivirus Titanium 2.04 or 2.05. If
anyone has a copy and willing to sell it I would be very
happy. Earlier and later versions won't scan my e-mails.

I have been using Panda Titanium 2.01.01 (which upgrades to
2.05.05 withing a few days) and after using it for a couple
years I finally had to reinstall Windows 2000 Pro.

Now the program won't update at all (only the virus
signatures update).

It has worked flawlessly with my e-mail program (The Bat!) and
blocks virus attacks almost every time. Titanium 2004 and Panda
Platinum Internet Security 2004 and 2005 won't work properly
with The Bat!. Takes way too long to scan the e-mails and let
them download.

I'm not interested in Norton, McAfee or AVG. Daily updates and
and low use of system resources has been a real plus with Panda.

I don't know why you would be asking to purchase the Panda software
from someone privately rather than directly from Panda, but if you
want something that works very well, and is even less of a resource
hog than Panda, why not go with nod32?

I too use "The Bat!" for email, and though there is a nod32 plug-in
for TB!, I don't even bother with it, as nod32 already provides
transparent POP3 scanning.

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for replying. I tried Nod32 years ago and couldn't stand having
to deal with 3 interfaces (all running in the system tray). Has this
improved?

BTW, software companies don't usually offer older versions of their
programs for download. If you want an older copy of Norton AV you
would have to get it
from someone (not Symantec). Panda Titanium 2.05 is a great AV program,
even
though it came out a couple years ago.

Someone just sent me a link to a company that actually had a copy of it
on their
site (I can't believe it). Installed perfectly - all is back to normal.

Has this improved?

Yes. Version 2.x has eliminated any need for the separate interfaces
(no more separate POP3 scanner setup, etc.).

Almost four years ago, when I chose nod32 over several others
(including Panda, for which I still had a full year of support paid
for at the time), I found it better than the others in spite of the
rather clumsy v1 interface. Now, with v2, it is even better still,
in my opinion.

Well it sound like it's worth another try (when Panda Titanium
expires). How often are the updates? Does it kill viruses immediately
as they come in?

That's one thing I like about Panda. It doesn't ask, it just does it
(unlike the highly acclaimed Avast, which asks what to do for each
virus detected, and too often says it can't access the file, because
it's being used by another application.

Hi Bil,

Updates occur as often as Eset feels the need for them. Very often,
this means daily. Several times, I've seen more than one update per
day. Sometimes, a day will be skipped.

If some anti-virus sells itself by advertising "daily updates",
whether or not there's a reason to have an update every 24 hours, I
would wonder just what they put into those daily updates just to keep
their customers happy to see an update coming in every day.
Does it kill viruses immediately as they come in?

There is an option to ask for this, but I prefer to have it give me a
choice. What if, in the unlikely event of a false positive
detection, something you might actually want is "killed/deleted"
without your knowledge and consent?
That's one thing I like about Panda. It doesn't ask, it just does it

To each our own. I'd rather be notified of a detection, then decide
what I want to do about it. :)
