Im hoping that someone can answer a question regarding my Asus
Motherboard. A7N8X-E Deluxe.
My question is,
What would make my system shut down a few secounds after turning it
on.?
I just replaced my motherboard with the deluxe. It worked fine until
iI storted it out. So after replacing it after I turned the power on
It just shuts down a coule seconds after turning it on Why? Please
Help

Could be the power supply. You will need to make sure that the new
board isn't pulling too much power.

Or it could be the CPU fan plugged into the wrong header on the mobo, which
causes most boards to shut down to protect the CPU from overheating. Same
would apply if the board can't read the fan speed for any reason (faulty
sensor etc.).

I had(have) a similiar problem also with an Asus board. I think it is the
PSU, but I still haven't bought a new one to find out for sure. I unhooked
all my IDE devices from power and got the machine to at least POST, and
started hooking them up one by one and found that it will still run with
just my primary master HD hooked up. Probably the PSU iisn't making quite
enough power for everything but is okay without all the extra devices.
Maybe you can try the same thing and see if you have any results.

Yes, I replaced my PSU last night and it solved the same problem.

Sounds like the heatsink isn't properly seated, there's no thermal paste or
pad, or the fan is hooked up wrong. Basically, it sounds as if the CPU is
getting too hot, and the board is shutting off to protect the CPU from
overheating.

I'd pull the heatsink and reseat it, making sure it's completely seated and
has a thermal compound or pad of some sort between the CPU and heatsink,
and that the fan is spinning and blows upward when it's plugged in.
