Need information on these components

Hi,

I am trying to find whether I need the following components in my
Image. When I imported my PMQ file, it loads around 91 components. I am
not sure if I need all of them. Here is the list which I think can be
removed. But wanted to make sure that these are not essential
components and I can remove them.

1. Default Monitor Support ( I will be having a LCD touch screen in my
target device)
2. Dell E771a component - I don't know what it does. It belongs to the
mice and pointing devices category.
3. Direct parallel component
4. Disk Drive (Hard Disk drive component) - I am using a CF in my
target device
5. ISAPNP Data port component
6. RAS Async Adapter
7. WAN Miniport(IP) - I don't know whether I will lose the ethernet
support if I remove this component. If this is not the appropriate
component then which one should I use.
8. WAN Miniport(L2TP)
9. WAN Miniport(PPPOE)
10. WAN Miniport(PPP)

Experts kindly help me.

Thanks,
G.R

I have had quite a bit of success using what my ex-boss would call the
'suck it and see' approach - ie, I made a big build, then I trimmed
stuff out a few at a time to see if things still worked.
Once you've got your big build working, and you're fairly sure what you
don't need, you can trim stuff out of the PMQ and resolve dependencies
on just what remains, and usually get a smaller build.
It's certainly less frustrating to get *something* working first. That
said, a bit of information in amongst your list.

Did you have that screen attached to your box when you made your PMQ? If
it's not listed, leave the default monitor in.
2. Dell E771a component - I don't know what it does. It belongs to the

A suck it and see one. There are generic components that should work
most pointing devices.
3. Direct parallel component
4. Disk Drive (Hard Disk drive component) - I am using a CF in my
target device
It's still a disk drive. I always include all three disk drive
components - they're next to no size - because I don't trust suppliers
not to suddenly change the disk.
5. ISAPNP Data port component
Got any ISA devices? if not, try taking it out.
6. RAS Async Adapter Modem stuff
7. WAN Miniport(IP) - I don't know whether I will lose the ethernet
support if I remove this component. If this is not the appropriate
component then which one should I use.
8. WAN Miniport(L2TP)
9. WAN Miniport(PPPOE)
10. WAN Miniport(PPP)

I'll have to have a look at my PXE boot image and see if these ones are
in there.
