Help regarding Components

Hello All,

I am working on reducing bootsize of the image. So I have to reduce the size
by removing some unwanted components. As of now I have removed few basic
components like CD Drive, Floppy Drive as these things are not required for
my target machine.

I have few list of components, if I get the details like What is the use of
these components , what are its limitations etc that will help me whether to
retain those components or not?

1) Indexing service component.
2) Filter Mime messages for the indexing service component.
3) H323 Telephony service provider Component.
4) WAN Miniport (IP)
5) WAN Miniport(L2TP)
6) WAN Miniport(PPPOE)
7) WAN Miniport(PPTP)
8) Telephony
9) Terminal Server Device Redirector
10) Terminal Server Keyboard Driver
11) Terminal Server Mouse Driver
12) Terminal Services Core
13) Terminal Services Remote Services Component
14) Terminal Services Runtime
15) Time Service Core

Note: I went through the Component help files provided by the tool kit but I
was not able to any detail information abtou these components. so please
provide me detail information on these components.

please provide me any link which gives details on these components

You probably already answered this, but I'm on a roll today, so... The
generic answer to your question is: Remove them and test everything you
want to do. If it works, then you are OK!.

The indexing component is related to performing searches in Windows
Explorer, so the first two are probably safe to remove.

The WAN miniports may be safe to remove if you understand what kind of
network access your device needs. They're probably not very big
components, so I wouldn't bother.

The Telephony and Remote access components are probably safe to remove
unless you need Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance, or Remote Registry
capabilities in your image. google those three terms for info on what
they mean.

I wouldn't mess with the Time Services Core.
