Nick K.

I made the mistake of using my email address while posting a message to a
newsgroup. Now I am flooded with hundreds of spam emails. The Exchange
server filters out attachments and those attachments are shown as "Untitled
Attachment". I tried to set up a rule in Outlook 2000 that would delete
those emails with an "Untitled Attachment", but have been unable to do so.
How do I setup such a rule?

You can't filter on name of an attachment. Does filtering on subject, body
or sender work for you?

You can buy a product that filter such emails or change your email address.

No, spammers just change the subject name over and over and over...

Ask your admin that when they filter a message they also mark it in some
sort of way (like "Filtered by ServerName") so you can set up some rules
based on the subject.

Otherwise you'll need to create rules like when your name is not in the CC
or To field to move the message to a specific folder and leave the message
alone when the sender is in your addresslist even when your name is not in
the CC or To field.

Hope this helps!
