I have got a error on start up as follows:{Disk I/O error
:status=00001002.
Windows 2000 root>system32\ntoskrnl.exe,please install a
copy of the above file. ?
 
with this error, it may meant your harddisk have some damage.

on the other hand, you can copy ntoskrnl.exe from other win2k system back to it.
such as. plug this hdu to another PC as 2nd hd and then copy. Or boot from floopy disk (base on FAT32 or NTFS) and copy this file back to ... %windir%\system32\
afterall, it should able to boot up.

But please sure your hdu is working normally, or it will down in future..
