need help with windows xp/internet explorer 6

I have been having several problems. I can't access
secure websites. I am unable to download windows updates-
including security updates. I recieve this error "your
current settings prohibit running active x controls on
this page.."etc. I also get the "administrators only"
message. As far as I know I am registered to be
the "administrator" on this computer. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Did you try: Open IE, goto Tools menu, select Internet
Options, select Security tab, click on Default Level.
