Hi,
First, I tried to contact tech support, went to the page, started the
process of typing in my product number (which is under System: Windows
Validation) and the page kept telling me it was not valid.. hmm.. so I
'validated' it again.. and still the Tech support page won't help. So much
for Windows being nice to people and helping them.

Second: I am trying to access the old 'My Network places', and I do the
following:
Go to computer, and right click and click on "Add network location".

I get the wizard I used to get with XP. I type in the URL of the place I
want:
https://vcr.caspercollege.edu/webct/webdav/72691001/21657525001

and I get 'the folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose
another". I have used MyNetWork places and this URL on my old computer and
my work computer, so the folder is valid.

Any suggestions! I NEED to be able to access and move files to this folder
for my classes -- I teach at a college and am moving files via the my Network
places all the time.

OH, just to be sure if I was doing this correctly, I was able to create a
'ftp' place to my webpage.. so.. that works! :-)

Thanks! Susan

One of the good new things added in Vista is the interactive search
feature. Click on Start, begin to type and Vista will quickly build a
list of "hits" similar to Google or any search engine. This allows you
not only to quickly access applications, but your files too.

For example if you click on the Start button, then type in just
'Network' in a few seconds 'Network and Sharing Center' pops up in the
list, click it, and you're taken there. I think this is what your
looking for.

Susan, if it is an OEM(pre-installed Vista by the computer manufacturer),
Microsoft has no obligation to help you. It is the deal that they have with
the manufacturers.
You have to contact Dell, toshiba, etc.
