Need Help with S Video.....

HI,

I got Power DVD and Media Player 10. I can watch DVD movies fine on my
laptop. I am trying to watch it on TV. Thinking if I could use my laptop as a
mobile DVD player. So, I connected the laptop to the TV with S Video.

I switch the TV to the SVHS channel and play the DVD on my laptop. When I
press; Fn F5, the movie does not show up on TV. Is there something else I
need to do?
Do I need to set anything in the Display tab in Control Panel?

Please tell me how I can play the DVD on the laptop and watch it on the
bigscreen.
I have checked all the connections. I think its some settings problem.
Please help.

Just a guess, but maybe you need to set the TV channel to AUX.

If your video card supports the function, you need to enable Video Overlay.
Not all cards (particularly laptop cards) support this function. You may
find a reference in your laptop's manual if it supports this function.

You will need to have a Display resolution on the laptop set to
something a TV can handle. Either 640x480 at 60 Hz or you might get
away with 800x600 at 60 Hz. But higher than that will just not work
unless you have an HDTV, and at that the adapter on the machine may
refuse duty
