We have a home network using Win XP Home on our machines.
On one machine, I have shared three different directories.

But only one of them shows up on the network.
I have rebooted all machines, and the shared folder display the
sharing icon, but I can't see the folders on the other PC(s).

What do I need to do?

PS Printer sharing works fine, too.

Under sharing look at the permissions of the folder that works and compare
it to the folders that don't work. See if you can find a difference.

Sorry it's the only suggestions that I have. Ed.

Thanks. The way I can get the folders to show up is by checking the
"Allow network users to change my files" box.

Is there any way to make all of this password-protected?

I'd like to be able to listen to my MP3's from the other PC's without
transferring all of the files. But I don't want them to get deleted,
etc., by someone else.

Also, if I click Start, My Network Places, View Workgroup Computers, I
can see all of my shared folders from the other PC. But I can't see
them when I click on My Network Places within Explorer.

Why is this?
