Need help to do system recovery for windowsXP

my x-hubby has the computer fixed with his
security/application/setup files and god only knows what
else....that i can't get my computer to restore or
recover windowsxp system files only with out all of his
set-ups coming back....when i do try to do a system
restore it will do a roll-back and restore all of his
setting plus windowsxp setting.....i'm sure that what
ever i do he can still get in and check my
computer....what can i do to fix this...can anyone help
me...don't know that much about computer and everyone who
has help me can't fixs it.....need help....thanks

Hi Bobbie,

It depends on how he set it up. You should create your own user account,
change the admin password, then delete his old account. I would further
remove all existing restore points, and set a bios password if the system
allows it. You will need administrator level access for some of these
operations.

Actually, I'd probably forego all that mess and just backup critical data
and wipe the system and do a new installation, setting difficult passwords
on everything.
