need help networking step by step

I am new to this networking thing, and i would like a lot
of help, or a little help. I have a few problems that i
would like to solve with the least expense.
Unfortunately I would like it step by step, as I don't
know a lot. Sorry. >(
I have 3 computers; win98(in my son's room), win2000pro
and win2000 advanced server(in my office)
The 2 win2000 computers are in one room and have the cd-
writer, scanner and storage.

The win98 computer is in the other room with the dvd drive
and the colour printer.

The win98 is connected to my linksys wireless access point
router via a cable and the win2000pro computer is
connected to the same router via a wireless network card,
so i have the internet on the win98 and win2000pro
computers in the 2 different rooms,

I have a hub and both twisted and untwisted pair cables,
in the room with the 2 win2000 computers.

Right the problems i have are:
I would like to share the internet connection between the
2 win2000 computers and share all their resources.

I would like to get the win2000 computers and the win98
computer talking to each other and share all their
resources.

Now i understand that this is a lot to ask, but i can't
seem to get any joy through searching the internet, so
even if you know of a website that details all this, could
you send me the addy PLEASE!!!!

First, on the Win2000 Pro computer, click Start>>HELP, then look for "peer
to peer networking" - you will find very valuable information. Then do the
same for "Internet Connection Sharing."
I'm not sure why you need 2000 Advanced Server, it sounds like overkill for
your situation, but anyway, since you have it, why not use it's built-in
Routing capabilities?
(Then you don't need to mess around with ICS). You would need to switch the
two 2000 computers around to use this - connect the server to the Wireless
router.

As for the 98 and 2000Pro computers not talking to each other, the HELP file
instructions I listed above should HELP with that.
Did I mention that your computer has a HELP menu?
BTW, your computer has a HELP menu.
Oh yea, don't forget to check the HELP menu!!

With an opening like that it tells me two things.
1) You can spell help.
2) You have not used the help. Not even a "little".
Unfortunately I would like it step by step, as I don't

Unfortunatey You won't get a step-by-step. STFW for that.
And I am not sorry. ]:)

Okay... Seems we have now blown our wad on the "least expense" part of
the intro. Windows 2000 "Advanced Server"? Why all the horse power?
Don't answer that please.
The 2 win2000 computers are in one room and have the cd-

What... Holding them hostage? Makeing them do things they don't want
to do? (Actually that may not be sarcasm at all) ;)
The win98 computer is in the other room with the dvd drive
and the colour printer.

Don't tell me. Smoking dope again. What those three do behind closed
doors is never pretty.

A moment of silence please.

Pal you're killing me with all these rooms. I doesn't make a shit
what room/s they are in, or if they are stacked on top of each other.
As long as they are connected.
Which reminds me. I peek in on the Win98 box. Way too quiet in there.

Another moment of silence...

No. I don't think you do understand at all. No one gets "joy" STFW,
and RTFM's! Look at it as learning pains. We all have em from time to
time.
Key word here is: Learning
How you ask can make the difference between help, or a flame.

As a Linux user, and avid usenet reader I have lurked in this NG for
a few days to read posts. The way the follow ups are done here (e.g.
following up to NO quoted text) I am not at all surprised at a post
like this. All of these questions have probably been asked, and
answered many times. A search on "Topics" is futile if you get only
babbling follow ups. It's like telling the punch line to a joke, and
never telling the joke. Nothing to laugh about. I have tried to
point this out to a few in here to no avail as well. Which brings up
another Usenet term. ****wit

I will help you with one thing though. Usenet.
