For the last few weeks I can no longer send webpages (Internet Explorer
6) using what is my default email program, Outlook 2002.

Now, when I attempt to do it in IE by going to:
File/ Send/ Page by Email-----
despite my having set Outlook as the email program, it went to Outlook
Express. I played around with the settings and now it goes to Netscape,
which I never use. All the while, it is still set for Outlook. And, I
cannot send with Netscape, despite the window opening it.

Another thing, maybe related. Again, in IE, in
Tools/ Internet Options/ HTML editor--Notepad is checked and Word is not
an option. Word had always been my HTML editor in the past.

Otherwise, Outlook works fine.

I just remembered this: Last year, I was using Spamblocker (with
Earthlink) successfully. Then, I could no longer use it,so I uninstalled
and reinstalled. Af that point, I could not get it to Outlook, only
Outlook Express.

Something is messed up, somewhere, but I don't know what or where.

Is it Outlook, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer?????

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

What happens if in Internet options you select both OL and Word as your
default apps?
If you dont use Netscape, uninstall it.
Initially use Detect/Repair in OL

The problem was not solved doing Detect/ Repair (which I didn't even
know about). What it did repair was that now Word is included as a
choice in HTML editor on Tools/Internet Options/ Programs/ HTML
editor---when recently it had disapeared as an option. Thank you for
introducing me to that new tool.

I still cannot email a webpage---it still goes to Netscape. I hesitate
to uninstall Netscape as I do use it for newsgroups. For some reason, I
am more comfortable/ familiar with it for that and Outllok Express has
not been as good, the little I've used it.

Any other sugguestion????

Thanks much.

Forgot to say that I do have Outllok set as default app for email in
Internet Option. Now I also (once again) have Word set as the default
HTML editor.

Maybe this isn't the right forum for this, but I do see that Netmeeting
is set as the default app for Internet Call. It's actually the only
choice in that category. I don't really know what internet call
is---could that be the problem?

Again, thanks,
Paula

No, Netmeeting entry is fine.
I believe the 'send to' problem is more likely to do with IE6, which I dont
use.
Perhaps post to an IE6 ng

Allthough you could check in Word, if you use the send to option does it go
to OL or?

When I use SENT TO in Word, it does go to OL. So, I guess the next step
for answers is IE6 forums.

Thanks for your help, as one thing is at least cleared up and I've
learned something new.

good luck
