The P5GD1 has 1 primary IDE connector, 2 RAID IDE connectors and 4 SATA
connectors. My prim. IDE contains 1 CD/RW and 1 DVD/CD. My pri. RAID IDE
contains master and slave HDDs moved over from an old rig. I don't need
the RAID functionality of the ITE 8212F yet so the BIOS has been
configured as IDE.
At first I hoped to be able to use the old installation carried over
from my old rig but that failed. Thought I might as well re-install
everything on a clean partition on the master HDD. Problem now is that
when trying to install without the IT8212 driver I get a message saying
that no disks is found (when HDD on pri. RAID IDE) and bluescreen with
0x0000007B error when HDDs on prim IDE and CD's on pri, RAID IDE).
When loading the IT8212 driver I'm able to create a partition (tried
with 2 and 4 GB FAT32 and NTFS) but then some seconds after creating a
boot partition I'm getting prompted to install the IT8212 driver from
drive A: once again ? Hitting enter doesn't seem to have any effect, no
reads on the floppy. Only option is F3 to exit/abort installation.
Help please ....?
Thanks,
