need help getting audio back

I've just loaded XP, and now I can't get any sound. I had ME before and it
worked fine. Now I'm at a lost, I've even uninstalled my audio program and
reinstalled it on XP and it still doesn't work. I have creative sound
blaster live program and without my system picking up sound my kids can't
even play games. I would love any help I can receive, Thank You!
