need help fast about history list/address bar

ok, it is hard one to explain so please be patient:

when I go on the web, and enter my url, it records it to
the history list.
but when I click a link and then it goes to a new
website, it doesn't show it on the address bar.

How can I make that every website I go on will be on the
address bar?

instead of clicking on the link copy/paste the link into
