Need help desperately - VCD burning?

Please someone help me, I'm trying to make a VCD for my Dad for Father's Day this coming weekend, I've made the movie with photo story, but then found I couldn't add the music I needed to, so I switched over to Movie Maker 2, now I need to be able to burn it to a VCD but it doesn't look like I can, is there a patch or something that I can download to add on to Movie Maker so that I can burn a VCD? I don't have a DVD burner you see.

At the very least, does anyone know where I can download a free video converter so that I can convert what I've made into something like AVI or MOV?

Movie Maker cannot make VCD/SVCD or export directly to mpeg format, you need
to first export to high quality WMV or DV AVI format. Your CD burning
software may be able to do the conversion when you make a (S)VCD project and
bring in the wmv or avi file. (Nero can). If not convert it to mpeg1 format
for vcd or mpeg2 for svcd. After that use your CD burning software and
remember to select a (S)VCD as the target cd type.
