Need Gmail Checker for Win98

Anyone know of a Gmail notifier that works with Windows 98se? The Google
utility does not.

If your browser is Firefox, there is the extension Gmail Notifier (only 20
KB) that works very well.

Maybe you need to check your installation. It works fine on our Win 98
system.

On trying to install it here on my win98SE I get no further than a popupbox
saying 'Gmail notifier requires Windows 2000, XP, 2003 or newer".
So I'm curious how you installed it.
