Need create small text & images files: any text editor that store images in .jpg format ?

I like Keynote, but as soon as I insert an image (jpg), file grows up
(due to bitmap conversion, I suppose).

Any similar software that store images in compressed format ?

P.S. Same problem with AngelWriter...should I use an html editor like
NVU :-/ ??

Whel I do it in corel draw 12
When you learn a lot about corel you can do almost anything...

If you are inserting the image via the Keynote RTF editor, I'd suggest
that you grab Atlantis Nova to do this part. Insert the images, save
the file, and open it with the editor included and see if you don't
get better file sizes. Or, Copy and paste into that editor after
saving in Atlantis Nova.

This particular RTF editor is far superior in saving images within a
file to any other I've seen. It's also a very nice editor to have on
hand.

Yeah, that's the nature of RTF. File sizes will get huge. So the short
answer is, yes, HTML is the way to go. NVu will do it.

Another option might be to use a program like Irfanview or MyAlbum to
generate the HTML for you. Both allow you to add comments to images (jpg
only in the case of Irfanview). You can then view the images and text using
these programs (both are standalone so you can include them on any CD you
might burn images to) or generate a separate HTML file "in bulk" to view the
images via a browser.
