If you're trying to create a .kar karaoke file, you can use MidiX
(http://agrgic.tripod.com/midix/) to combine a .mp3 file and a .txt file.
MidiX cleverly allows *you* to provide the timing/synchronization by
"tapping" the mouse at the appropriate points to mark where each syllable
in the .txt file lines up with the sounds in the .mp3 file. I've used it
successfully.

Good idea, Thanks!
