Need advice for pen input for desktop please

Josh Collins

I know nothing about pen input devices but I am very interested in OneNote
and I want it. A google search provides results that assume I have a tablet
pc or a pda. I am using only a desktop computer though. I know a desktop and
a pen input device is not necessarily great with One Note, but I would like
to experiment with one.

Can anybody point me in the right direction on using pen input devices with
desktops? Any advice?

I use One Note on my tablet PC and on my desktop. It's a very hand and
useful program. When using it on the desktop, I use the keyboard for text
input.

I have a Wacom tablet hooked up to the desktop PC but have never tried it
with One Note. Reason: If not using "ink" (the description for handwritten
input on a tablet PC), the input from the desktop's Wacom would be
interpreted as an image. It will show up as handwriting, but the text it
contains is not searchable as it is on a tablet PC.

Visit http://www.wacom.com for more information on the various styles and
capabilities of the Wacom tablet input devices.
