navw32.exe application error

I keep getting this error when opening documents and at
when opening certain web sites:

navw32.exe Application Error
the instruction at "0x1c001516" referenced memory
at "0x01610010". The memory could not be "read". Click
okay to terminate the program.

Can anyone tell me what is the cause and how I can syop
this?
