Navigation View

I'd like to know if anyone knows how to change the link to a page from the
navigation view. i.e. Currently when I click on the "Gallery" page it takes
me to the link "gallery.htm". I'd like to leave this page and point it to
"gallerynew.htm". I'm using FP2K on XP.

Also when I add a page it adds a "1" to the end if the page is already
existing. Is there a way around this too?

I know that the navigation pane is supposed to be the place to great the
pages but I've imported some in from other places and would like to keep them
without having to go through the process of renaming the page, adding it to
the nav view, then opening the page and copying it to the nav page.

Help! ...... and thanks!

To change a link -
Open Navigation View
Drag the new page (galleynew.htm) from the folder list into the navigation view and drop it next to the existing page (gallery.htm).
Right click the existing page (gallery.htm) and choose Delete - Choose to remove from navigation view, not delete the page.

Never seen FrontPage add a "1" to a page name - how are you creating the page?

I know that the navigation pane is supposed to
be the place to great the pages but I've
imported some in from other places and would
like to keep them without having to go through
the process of renaming the page, adding it to
the nav view, then opening the page and copying
it to the nav page.

Why go through this? I have never created a page in Navigation view.
Why remame the page - leave the existing name, unless it NEEDS to be changed.
I don't understand why the page has to be copied. Why create a "nav" page when you have one already there.
Import the page, open navigation view, use the mouse to drag the page from the file list and drop it in the navigation tree.

Ronx,

Thanks! I know that this might have sounded trivial to you but I was
unaware that you could do that. You just saved me loads of time. Appreciate
the help.
