Navigation displays [ ] and not |

[Leroy]

When I choose "|" (or any other symbol) as a seperator in
Navigation Bars, it displays "] [".

(I am not using a theme for the same reason. When I had
theme a, regardless of what I chose as a seperator it
would put in the themes picture)

How do I rectify this?
