navigation, buttons, text and ????

OK - I have answered many of my own questions and have found the following:

1. Navigation in FP2002 will not work in a Frames environment
2. Therefore cannot use themes and navigation to creat buttons for links.

What I would like to do is create a bunch of buttons I can put into a top
frame and then hyperlink that image to the lower frame.

I tried downloading clipart buttons but cannot seem to put text into that
clip art. As an example, I am looking for a oval button (or a notebook tab)
and then type text overit saying Home, etc.

Any suggestions or links to some help?

FP nav bars will work in a Frames site
- just set your nav frame page properties to have a base target of your other frame name

When I use a Theme and create a Nav bar - two things happen

One, the navigation buttons show a link rather than text and there seems to
be no way to change it

Two, there is no property to change the frame reference.

What am I missing?

This is an internal intranet so sending out a link doesnt help.

You don't change the base target in the theme or nav bar
You change it in the frameset properties or page properties (default target frame)
In your frameset page right click the nav frame
