NavapSvc memory rread error on Shutdown

I am looking at trying to resolve a problem. Recently, I now get an memory
read error whenever I request a Windows XP Pro shutdown. The read memory
error comes from "navapsvc.exe" which I have now learn that it is 'Norton
Anti-Virus Auto-Protect service" system. I am running NAV 2004 Pro. Since
I have NAV 2004 Ro, I got a 2 PC license with it and the read memory error
only happens on my P4 system and not on my mother's P-III.

Please note: Both are running licensed XP Pro (1 OEM and 1 Retail).

How do I go about "fixing" this error?

I would suggest you contact Symantec or remove, reboot & then reinstall the
application.

Then contact Symantec. There are altogether too many system troubles
associated with their products, and especially Live update. For the
moment see if you can use a lower level than their full autoprotect, so
that this module is not loaded
