Folks,

Does NAV 2004 have any advantage over a continuusly updated and
current NAV 2002?

Just wondering if I should have bought the new one (2004)
instead of the update subscription on my old one (2002).

Yes there are several security enhancements...see the Symantec site for

yes... the engine in 2002 is older... it doesn't have all the bells and
whistles that the 2004 engine has and therefore may not be able to
actually use all the virus definitions that 2004 can (i.e. just because
you have the latest defs doesn't mean you can detect the viruses
specified in them)...

Thanks for the info folks. It looks like I wasted my money on
the update. I should have gotten the new 2004 one. The Symantec
webs site said there was no update for NAV 2002, but I just got
it a month ago. Oh, well
