Narration files won't trigger

When I record narration on my slides, (more than one file on some slides)
some of them have a little hand with a finger pointing next to the speaker
icon. This is sometimes there and sometimes dissapears. When it's there, the
narration file won't trigger when you play the slide. In fact in the custome
annimation work box, the 'play' option is dimmed when the hand is there. How
do I control that and just what does the hand mean?

The little hand means that you have set a trigger to start the sound.
probably a click on the icon itself. You can change this by going custom
animation > timing> start as part of click sequence

Dont see why play would be dimmed though
