when I start a new mail and type in the "to" box kei - I get a list of
keith's BUT one is an old email address that is not in my contacts list! -
why is this showing? and how do I get rid of it?

Are you doing this from work or from home? If from work it's possible that
it's an LDAP name being found and that person would need to be removed from
the directory if you don't want it to appear in your options anymore.

No unfortunately - it's on a home laptop with no ldap - no gal only the .pst
and extend.dat files - tried removing extend.dat and restarting outlook but
still get problem

Hi
I had this problem in the past and have a simple fix, I just highlight the
name and press delete. It seems to be an autotext situation.
