Mysterious email attachments

Hello

Whenever I sent an email with Outlook 2003, the recipent receives the
original email with an additional attachment. This attachment is
called picture.dat. My question is where did it come from and what
must I do to stop it being attached.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Kind regards

Lewis

Are you using a logo or stationary? Are you also using Outlook's default
format Rich Text? Change it to plain text or HTML and see if that helps.

Thank you for the help. It turned out to be that Outlook 2003 did not
like a picture being inserted into the signature whilst using a HTML
format. I turned the format to rich text. The signature now looks as
it should

Thanks once again for the help.

Please be aware that if you are using Microsoft Outlook's default Rich Text
Format, it's specific to Outlook. What that means is that when sending emails
to non-Outlook recipients, they may have some difficulty with that particular
format. If anyone has problems reading your email or with any attachment, the
first step in troubleshooting would be for you to change the format to rich
text.
