attachments are not being sent with message

When ever i send a email with an attachment the recipient receives the
message but no attachment. The message goes into sent items with the
attachment indicating all is okay. Any ideas have i changed the security
settings to block all attachments ?

Are you sending messages in Rich Text Format & said recipient is not using
Microsoft Outlook? The reason I ask is that Rich Text is only meant for
Microsoft Outlook to Microsoft Outlook.
