Myie2 /maxthon favourites question

Just downloaded maxthon (use myie2 latest version usually on w98) and have
noticed that favourite links opens a new tab but doesnt auto open that
window which is most annoying.Anyone else notice this?

Majorgeeks link is where I downloaded from.I found the problem to my
original question.Browser mode must be set to standard rather than default.

If I understand correctly, a new tabs don't open in new window. In the far
right corner on the status bar enable the third (?) button from the right.
It is called “Activate New Window”. HTH
