I am interested to know from anyone whether the Toolbar Mail>>Send Page
feature works in this release.

It sends the page (without images) as attachment (I'm trying/using
Thunderbird as email client).

It does. I find Maxthon to be dead fast, and always have since way back. If
a browser or browser add-on wants to get flushed, let it act even a little
bit slow! :)

I installed it and found that it is just as fast as ever, best browser I
have tried.

I wish I knew. However, when I said slow, I mean *slow*. REAL slow.
Every page I tried to open in Maxthon took a full minute or longer to
open. Some wouldn't open at all! On the other hand, everything opened
in IE and very fast. Doubtful, but I'm wondering if this has anything
to do with Mozilla being my default browser.

What started me looking at an overlay for IE is that suddenly and for
no reason that I can figure, downloads via Mozilla started taking longer.

Guess I'll give it another try and see if I can find out what the
problem is. Too many other people had no problems, so it must be a
system problem on my computer. However, I should say that I've really
tweaked the hell out of this thing (for instance, totally removing
webcheck.dll, WBEM, OOBE, various RCP .dlls, cleaned up registry,
etc.) But I did all that quite a while back.

I really liked the interface on Maxthon. If I find out what the
problem is, I'll post to a new thread.

Hey John, Maxthon has an option to use the Mozilla engine. You give up a few
minor features by doing so, but nothing serious IIRC. Since Maxthon has a
couple of nice new-ish security features, security is not really that bad.

Thanks Bob, but it's working perfectly now with the IE engine and is
VERY fast.

Thanks. I was looking under Options and never thought to look at New Tab on
the tool bar.

Build a few groups and of you go!

Be sure to config Maxthon to close the current group when opening the next
group. (it's in the "Advanced" part of the options)

And if you're into skins, try Korilla. It's very soothing to the eyes. 8)

It's also under File/New Page/Use Gecko Engine.

Thanks, but I like simple colors and no two tone schemes. Downloaded
Mozilla 2 and MetalMozilla. I prefer Mozilla 2

Okay Bob.... here's a question. How do I get a new page to open on
top? I've looked but can't find out how to configure for that.

(later)
Nevermind. Just found it under Options/Maxthon Options/Tab/New
Tab/Activate New Tab. You'd think that this would be a default
setting. Oh well.
