MYIE2-How do I Open 2 Pages at Once

E

Ed Aleks

I just installed MYIE2 for a tryout. It seems faster, and in many ways, less
encumbered with features I don't need.

The problem I'm having is that one of my favorite web sites, a
photographer's forum, often includes links to other sites displaying
photographs. When I used Internet Explorer, I could click the link, and a
separate window would open for viewing the photo. In MyIE2, a separate link
does not open, and even worse, the back arrow button does not take me back
to my forum. Is there a way to cure this (for me) serious problem?

Thanks,
Ed Aleks

Use the tabs. :)

If your pages are not already open in another tab, simply right-click on a
link and select "Open In New Window"

MyIE2 makes using the Back button unnecessary on the main page. Just click
the tab you wish to browse.

You'll get used to it. It's really easy and intuitive.

Thanks Bob. And you're right. It's very easy. Maybe this will be a keeper.

Another timesaver - just drag the link a little and release to open the link
in a new tab.

Shift-clicking will have the same effect, if you find that easier.

....or click with the middle button if you have a wheel mouse and it will
accomplish the same thing.

Since I've seen so many positive post about MYIE2 I decided to take it
for a spin, very nice I must say. Though I don't think it will drag me
away from Firefox.
The real reason for my post is to ask why no one has suggested clicking
the small flower icon in the lower right corner? Then all links open in
a new tab.

There is no flower icon with some skins .

Another cool feature is the "Simple Collector"
