my xp pro starts by it self.. every night

HI...
I wonder what is the problem, I had windows xp on my pc
and then I wiped it and installed xp proffesional and
every thing works fine just that the pc starts on every
night or let us say every day by it self .. does any body
know why???

Windows XP has a lot of new features. Being able to start a computer that
is completely powered down is not one of them. The operating system isn't
even loaded and running at this point in time. It sounds like you have a
"Wake on..." setting in BIOS enabled: Wake on Ring, Wake on Lan, Wake on
RTC, etc.

Highly unlikely to be a windows issue - look in your BIOS for 'wake on LAN'
or 'wake on ring' and disable it (or both if both exist).
