My XP Home Edition troubles me...

Hello !
My PC with XP Home Edition hangs very frequently stops responding
unexpectedly and I have to restart again and again.
Event Veiwer shows application hang,Not Responding message.
My Vendor says its due to Voltage fluctuations in electrical wiring.Is this
true?
I have P4,2.4,WinXP Home.
Please help me to solve my severe problem.

Not sure if it is a power problem, but you can pick up a cheap desktop UPS
and use it...
Would need more info to really say what the problem is. What hangs? Any
specific app? What else do you have in your system and application logs? Do
you have your firewall enabled?
