my windows 2000 thinks i have a password

My windows 2000 thinks i have a password althogh i never put one in. When i log on it goes to administrator and asks me for a password and I never entered a password.....is there a way to circumvent the system or is there a general password.

if you never entered a password, try just leaving the field blank and hit
enter...
