Since my days with the Windows 95 OS, my wife will occasionally somehow
manage to move the taskbar from the bottom of the screen to the left side,
right side, or top. I couldn't do it deliberately with a sledge hammer.
Anyway, I've always managed to diddle around with the mouse and finally put
it back to the bottom. The procedure for Windows XP is first make sure that
the taskbar is not locked. Then all that is required to relocate the taskbar
is to click on an unused portion of the taskbar, keep the mouse button down,
and then move the mouse to the desired edge.
But my wife also somehow manages to double the thickness of the taskbar.
When I try to drag the thickness down to its normal size, all that results
is that the taskbar just becomes a thin line the width of the screen,
although I can drag in the opposite direction and make the taskbar VERY
thick (covering almost half the screen). Adjusting the taskbar size and
location shouldn't be that difficult. What is the exact procedure for
resizing and relocating the taskbar?
Thanks.
