My USB Doesn't Work at all

My USB has been running for about 8 months now. Its been not recognized many times for about 2 months now. But now when it is plugged in it doesn't work at all. It's light doesn't flash, the computer's lights don't flash, nothing. My desktop computer doesn't recognize it and neither do any other laptops with my settings. Is this a problem with the computers or is it time (?) to get a new one?
 
Your USB what???

Whatever it is, check it out on another PC first before sending it to the grave.
 
I think he is talking about a USB Flash Drive. And if it doesn't work in
several different computers, it is probably dead.
